Virgin Media today unveiled its new look logo which incorporates the Union Flag

The logo will feature in advertising for the first time this weekend, as part of Virgin Media’s promotion of TiVo, its next generation TV service, and will be seen across much of the company's new marketing communications.

Designed to reflect the company’s great British heritage, the infinity symbol will now include a stand-out Union flag combined with the iconic Virgin logo.

Executive Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, Jeff Dodds, said: “At Virgin Media, we’re extremely proud of our British heritage and wanted to find a way to symbolically remind people about all the fantastic things about our nation. With Britain celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and hosting the Olympic Games next year, we believe there is no better time to show our pride and excitement about what it means to be British.”

Creative agency Start JudgeGill helped design the new Virgin Media logo.

The company was the first to offer HD TV and 3D on demand to millions of UK households.
