Virgin Media customers, staff and Pioneers show off their hidden talents
Virgin Media will unveil its brand new idents this weekend as Britain’s Got Talent hits TV screens at 8pm on Saturday. Virgin Media’s idents will appear around Britain’s Got Talent on ITV1, Britain’s Got More Talent and America’s Got Talent on ITV2 and feature Virgin Media customers, staff and Virgin Media Pioneers showing off their hidden talents, with a famous face or two joining the line-up.
Virgin Media began casting its ident stars earlier this year as part of its Britain’s Got Talent sponsorship. Each 10-second ident will showcase an individual talent with fans of the show encouraged to check out Virgin Media’s YouTube channel for a tutorial, passing on hints and tips and enabling people to try out the skills for themselves. Viewers can upload their own version of the ident talents, as well as adding new skills of their own, for a chance to win tickets to this year’s live final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Virgin Media’s idents will feature members of the ‘Virgin Media family’ including1:
Lennox Lewis, world champion boxer and Virgin Media customer, showing off his skipping skills
Virgin Media Pioneer, Jacob Hill, performing a dazzling coin trick
Virgin Media customer, Joanna, and her talented dog Bella
Virgin Media staff member and River Dance contender, Aileen Brady
Virgin Media customer, Tarryn Algar, showing off his basketball skills
Virgin Media V Festival performer Killa Kella, beat boxing
Nigel Gilbert, chief marketing officer at Virgin Media, said: “Britain’s Got Talent is a highlight of the TV schedule and we’re delighted to be showing off our amazing customers, employees, Virgin Media Pioneers and fans on primetime TV. This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever and our idents will add to the stellar line-up of unforgettable talent and memorable moments. ”
Fans of the show can watch the Virgin Media idents, tutorials and upload their own videos to youtube.com/virginmediatalent from the 24th March.
The idents are directed by Michael Williams of Partizan Films and produced by Bartle Bogle Hegarty.
Virgin Media Pioneers is an online peer-to-peer community of over 2,000 talented young entrepreneurs, enabling them to connect with mentors, training and support. In light of youth unemployment reaching record highs the Pioneer community has been putting forward the case that more should be done to encourage micro-financing. They proposed a fund on similar terms to that of a student loan. www.virginmediapioneers.com/youth-investment-fund.
